Being back sucks

First, for those of you who are offended by the use of the word “sucks” – I’m sorry.  It doesn’t bother me so I use it.  I’m not going to promise to stop using it though if it upsets you.  Guess that makes me a jerk.  I’m ok with that (at least for now)

I’m back in the office and it su…stinks. (See I’m thinking of you).  The internet is down on our side of town (that’s a funny thought that there is a line dividing the internet and it works on one side and not the other) and it seems that it has been for 4 or 5 days now.  That means I can’t email, check websites, do research or anything else.  I don’t have the program we use to store phone numbers or addresses so I’m constantly calling Debbie (my assistant) so I can call people or write a note to someone.  On top of that I have 2 trips in the next few weeks and can’t find enough chaperons to go.  Being back is not fun!

I want to go sit on the beach, let the wind blow and cool me off while I read a book that enlightens me, challenges me and/or makes me smile.  I don’t want to sit in my office and realize I can’t a lot of the 3 pages of to do list done because it requires an internet connection.  You may be asking how am I able to post this?  I got fed up and moved my office to a local coffee shop.  I have internet but I also have to feed my addiction to coffee and be distracted by people I know (not that that’s a bad thing, just unproductive) or strangers who catch my attention.

So in summary:  no internet, sucks.  not getting things done, sucks.  moving my office, sucks (kinda), being back, sucks.  Hopefully tomorrow won’t suck so much.  (Did I use the word enough for you?  If not here’s one more gratuitious one, SUCK).  Have a good day now!
